By joining our efforts, you're doing more than just giving- you're helping support the Manyara Ranch School in building a brighter, more sustainable future through education.
Real Help for Real Classrooms
While we would love to improve all Tanzanian schools, our focus is solely on Manyara Ranch School—because the need here is immediate and overwhelming.
Built in 2007 to serve 700 students, the school now educates over 1,400 Maasai children from deeply rural villages in Eastern Tanzania. It has received no maintenance since its construction. As a result, classrooms, dormitories, bathrooms, and teacher housing are all in serious disrepair. Access to clean water, basic hygiene, and adequate food supplies is critically lacking.
The Maasai people, who have lived in this region since the 1500s, maintain a nomadic lifestyle and raise livestock for income. Today, the average annual income for a Maasai family is just $60 (USD). Education has not traditionally been part of their culture, but now more than ever, their children are seeking opportunities to learn and grow.
Your support goes directly toward addressing the school’s most pressing needs—restoring safe, functional spaces and providing these children with the dignity, care, and opportunity they deserve.

Improving Manyara Ranch School for Maasai Children
For children in remote Maasai communities, going to school means more than just learning. This school is where they can feel safe, get regular meals and have a chance to dream of a better future.
Many of these children live too far from available day schools so their only opportunity for an education is at boarding schools. Their journey to come to Manyara Ranch School, be away from their families and villages for five months at a time, shows how much they value their education even when it's not easy.
But Manyara Ranch School is under a lot of pressure. It was built for fewer students and hasn’t been repaired in years. Now, the classrooms are falling apart, the dorm rooms are crowded, and there’s not enough clean water, food, or proper bathrooms.
This isn't just about repairing buildings, it's about giving these children a place where they can feel cared for, stay healthy and keep moving forward with their education.
Restoring Dignity and Opportunity at Manyara Ranch School
Manyara Ranch School is a boarding school serving Maasai children from remote villages in Eastern Tanzania. These children come from families with very limited resources and few chances for education, yet they show remarkable determination and hope as they journey to the school, eager to learn and build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
Over time, the school’s facilities have suffered from years of use without proper maintenance. Classrooms have become worn, dormitories overcrowded, bathrooms inadequate, and dining areas unable to fully support the growing student body. These challenges make it difficult for the school to provide the safe and nurturing environment the children deserve.
Restoring dignity and opportunity at Manyara Ranch School means more than fixing physical spaces. It means creating a welcoming, safe, and supportive place where every child feels valued, cared for, and empowered to reach their full potential. Your support can help transform the school into a foundation for hope and growth that will last for generations.
Your support helps transform a struggling school into a safe, healthy, and hopeful environment for some of Tanzania’s most vulnerable children.
